The VBS Consultants is built on a foundation few firms can claim: a founder whose career spans military service, law enforcement, and the advanced study of the justice system itself.

Tasha Charles served seven years in the United States Army, where she developed the discipline, accountability, and mission-focus that still define how VBS operates today. She went on to spend more than a decade in law enforcement and security, including service with the Cook County Sheriff's Office, and six years as a private investigator, gaining a firsthand understanding of how courts, legal documents, and the people who handle them actually work.

That field experience is matched by an unusual depth of education. Tasha holds a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology and an MBA, and is a doctoral (PhD) scholar in Forensic Psychology specializing in criminal profiling. She is also a Certified Paralegal and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, a rare blend of legal precision, behavioral insight, and disciplined, repeatable process.

She founded The VBS Consultants to bring that mix of operational rigor and legal expertise to the attorneys, firms, agencies, and businesses that depend on getting it right, while creating meaningful opportunities for fellow veterans along the way.
